Browsing the website

You can browse without signing up or paying. We use no first-party analytics or advertising tracking scripts. Reading pages or suggestions does not create a participation cookie.

Fonts and artwork are served by this website. Social videos and feeds are linked rather than embedded.

Posting suggestions and comments

Your optional nickname, message and posting date are public. If you leave the nickname blank, your post is shown as anonymous. Keep contact details and sensitive information out of public posts; use email for personal enquiries.

We use posting and voting records and a random participation identifier to operate the board and limit duplicate votes and repeated submissions. A cookie is stored in your browser when you contribute and lasts for up to 90 days.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. This may limit posting or voting, or prevent us from connecting your previous participation. Participation does not require an account, so vote counts do not represent identity-verified individuals.

Retention and removal requests

Information needed to operate the board and recognise participation is retained while the board operates. To request that a post or comment be hidden or removed, email its link and your request to contact@myanimalroom.com. We will review and handle the request.

Because participation is anonymous, verifying authorship or recovering previous participation may be limited.

Service providers and security

We use GitHub to serve the website and Cloudflare to operate the board and prevent automated submissions. These providers may process connection information, such as IP addresses and browser information, to provide and secure their services.

Email enquiries

When you email us, we receive your email address, any name included in the message and your enquiry. We use them to reply and follow up on your request. You can also email contact@myanimalroom.com to ask about or request removal of information in your enquiry.

External channels and the mobile app

Links to YouTube, Threads, Instagram and other external services are subject to those services’ privacy policies.

The app does not send your journals, tasks, focus history or backup account to this board. This notice covers the website. Separate mobile app privacy information will be provided when the app becomes available.
